The (ED) has written to the (YEIDA), seeking details of Orris Group’s Greenbay Golf Village

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has written to the Yamuna Expressway Authority (YEIDA), seeking details of its audit related to the Orris Group’s Greenbay Golf Village housing project located off the Yamuna Expressway. Here are the key points:

The audit conducted by YEIDA highlighted financial discrepancies by the Orris Group in the Greenbay project.

Specifically, the audit found that of the ₹323.3 crore collected from Greenbay buyers, ₹173.1 crore was diverted elsewhere.

An FIR was registered against Greenbay Infrastructure, an Orris company involved in constructing the project, for cheating, forgery, criminal breach of trust, and other offenses.

The developer was allotted 100 acres in Sector 22D to build a township with 620 flats and 684 plots.

However, Orris started defaulting on payment of dues, and currently, it is one of the biggest defaulters of the Yamuna Expressway Authority.

The audit committee recommended police action against the developer for alleged financial irregularities.

Despite the police report stating no legal action was required, YEIDA challenged it, citing land disputes and stay orders by the Allahabad High Court.
